Abstract

Recently, developments in science and technology are characterized through many discoveries which can be applied to various kinds of science, and increasingly affect human life. Various phenomena, issues, and dynamics related to the sense of place, social capital, the diffusion of innovation, and political engagement occurring in demographical groups of millennial generations in a semi-urban city are the main points to be developed. This study aimed to analyze the influence of the sense of place on social capital, the influence of social capital on diffusion of innovation and the influence of social capital on political engagement. Subsequently, this study was also aimed at analyzing the effect of social capital in mediating the sense of place on diffusion of innovation as well as mediating the influence of the sense of place toward political engagement.
